Personal Profile
Craig Taylor
Craig's
ceaseless exploration of what underlies the processes of growing
up is the key to his success.
Having worked internationally and in a range of contrasting and
challenging educational systems, he has accumulated a wealth of
experience. “Children must have a process which enables
them to leave their childhood and enter adolescence with more
security than our present methods are offering. Without an emerging
strength of character, the turbulence that follows increases
a child’s vulnerability to stress, depression, dependence
and lack of direction.”
This is his area of expertise - preparing those threshold experiences.
It begins with play, a child's work. Whether it is by building,
camping or expeditions, the inner quest is as important as the
trek itself.
The goal is always to kindle the fires of enthusiasm, initiative,
perseverence, empathy and good will.Young teenagers begin to develop
strength of character by learning to balance freedom and responsibilty,
based on the fires of childhood.”
Craig has has established Attitude Matters to provide the tools
for putting this process in place, teaching our children how to
navigate a safer passage through one of life’s most challenging
periods.
